“Cheshme” (Mountain Music)
Azerbaijani Composer and Pianist Rahilia Hasanova in a performance and discussion of her music. With Jill Dreeben, flute. The famed Azerbaijani composer is featured in this recital. Hasanova’s music is deeply steeped in the folk, spiritual and contemplative traditions of her homeland. She writes contemporary classical music that is at times ecstatic, contemplative, or inspiring.
